How much does a pet portrait session cost?

Pet portrait sessions in the NYC area cost $700

What is included in the package? Can I get digital files?

You get an online portfolio to view your images, fours custom prints (1 8x10 and 3 5x7 prints) and 4x6 printable digital files of chosen and purchased images. or five digital files of your choosing.

What if I want extra prints?

Extra prints can be purchased with your package or at a later date. All images are archived.

Are there any additional fees?

I charge extra for the train/plane/automobile or taxi that gets me to you.

Where do you do the shoot?

All Private commissions are done at the clients home and/or favorite park/beach/rooftop/backyard.

How long does it take?

I don't base a shoot on a specific amount of hours, but on average most shoots last anywhere from 2-3 hours. 

What if my pet is untrained?

I have worked with all sorts of animals and can handle just about any kind of behavior. I'm patient when your pet is shy and can keep up when they are wild!

What if I have several pets I want photographed? 

I will photograph up to three pets at no additional charge. Please call or e-mail me if you have a house full of pets and we can discuss a reasonable price. 

What happens if it rains on our day to do a shoot in the park?

If we were planning on doing the shoot outdoors we will have to reschedule or do it indoors.

Can we do a family portrait with our pet(s)?

Of course! I encourage it! If I am doing a private shoot for you, I want you to get the most out of the shoot as possible.

How should I prepare my pet for the photo shoot?

If your pet needs grooming, please have it done a day or two in advance. 

How long have you been doing pet photography?

I started focusing specifically on pet portraits in 2003, although pets have been a constant and main subject for me long before then!

Have you ever been bitten?

So far I have only been bitten twice by dogs, had one bloody nose from an excited bulldog jumping to greet me as I went down to greet him, and have had many scratches from cats. Cats definitely do not like wigs!

Can I use the images you take of my pet on social media?

Yes, you can use the digital images in personal ways however you like.
