| How much does a personal pet portrait session cost? Pet portrait sessions in the NYC area cost $550. What is included in the package? Can I get digital files? You will get an online portfolio to view your images, four custom prints, (1-8x10 and 3-5x7 prints) and digital files of all purchased images. What if I want extra prints? Extra prints can be purchased with your package or at a later date. All images are archived. Are there any additional fees? If you live outside the NYC area I charge extra for the train/plane/automobile that gets me to you. Where do you do the shoot? All private commissions on done at the clients home and/or favorite park/beach/rooftop/backyard. How long does it take? I don’t base a shoot on scheduled time, but on average most shoots last anywhere from 1-3 hours. What if my pet is untrained? I have worked with all sorts of animals and can handle just about any kind of behavior. I’m patient when your pet is shy, but can keep up when they are wild. What if I have several pets I want photographed? I will photograph up to three pets at no additional charge. Please call me or e-mail me if you have a house full of pets and we can discuss a reasonable price. What happens if it rains on our day to do a shoot in the park? If we were planning on doing the shoot outdoors, we will have to reschedule. Can we do a family portrait with the dog? Yes! I encourage it, too! If I am doing a private shoot for you, I want you to get the most out of the shoot as possible. I want to book a shoot, now what? If your pet needs grooming, please have it done a day or two in advance. If your pet is hyper, please take them for a nice long walk before I come. How long have you been doing pet photography? I started focusing specifically on pet portraits in 2003, although, pets have been a constant subject for my camera long before then. Have you ever been bitten? So far I’ve been bitten twice by dogs, had a bloody nose from an excited bulldog that jumped to greet me as I went down to greet him, and have had many scratches from cats. Cats definitely don’t like wigs! Can I use one of your images you take of my pet on my pet's blog or in a photo contest? Yes! I am happy to allow you to use digital images in personal ways.
